ABOUT THIS COURSE

This 100% practical course will explore how you can create a buzz for Drama for all of the students in your school. You will leave with a host of practical ideas and methods relating to key Drama practitioners. There will be a strong emphasis on Physical Theatre, Devising and Script Work that will ensure your gifted and talented students attain the very highest grades, while ensuring those with more limited skills still flourish. It is designed to provide both Drama teachers and English teachers with fresh ideas in the classroom. Importantly there will be time to discuss the planning of your Drama curriculum allowing for clear progression.

COURSE LEADER

Matthew Rowlands-Roberts was a professional actor for the Peter Hall Company, Shakespeare’s Globe, and Blackeyed Theatre Company prior to becoming a qualified drama teacher in both mainstream and independent schools.

He is an experienced Head of Drama  and was until very recently a Head of Drama at a leading independent school in central London. In the 2021 cohort Matthew attained 100% Level 9’s with his GCSE students and 100% A*-A grade with his A level students.
