ABOUT THIS COURSE
This one-day course is designed to motivate students to develop their confidence in effectively implementing revision strategies and examination skills required to succeed in the forthcoming GCSE examinations. The course aims to provide clarity and guidance on how to effectively implement evidence based high impact revision strategies and embed powerful leavers for boosting learning and student outcomes.

- Common pitfalls – reflections on methods used by students and their effectiveness.
- Psychology of learning – Cognitive overload, retrieval practice and embedding knowledge into long-term memory.
- Learn new strategies to support effective learner behaviours, helping students to become self-regulated independent learners.
- How to facilitate effective group work – strategic methods to boost student progression.
- Techniques to develop synoptic skills.
