ABOUT THIS COURSE

This excellent new course is designed for Pearson Edexcel A-Level Psychology teachers aiming to enhance their expertise in preparing students for success in Paper 2: Applications of psychology. The course will delve into key strategies for understanding the exam structure, tackling various question types effectively, providing an intense, advanced, focus on deconstructing questions from paper 1 and deciphering example responses. There will also be a focus on pedagogy for paper 2, but most importantly on preparing students for the exam. This course will provide a focus on raising a grade B to a grade A/A* and how to do this with specific topics from paper 2. The course will include a section on exam tactics and techniques, with what examiners need to see and how to get your students to do this.

  • Identifying, addressing and creating specific lesson ideas for challenging content
  • How clinical psychology is likely to be examined – the question types

COURSE LEADER
